Be aware there will be smoke visible again today. Smoke will be seen through Saturday starting at 9 am each day as Calfire LMU completes a fuel reduction project in the Big Valley Summit area. On 80 acres along Highway 299 between Big Valley Summit and Nubieber, crews will be thinning and using prescribed fire to reduce fuels in the area. You are asked to use caution when traveling through the area, as emergency vehicles and firefighters along the highway will be seen.
The LMU successfully completed the 90-acre ag burn on the Dow Ranch yesterday.
