After a start to build something greater over a decade ago, the Susanville Indian Rancheria broke ground on the all-new 62,000 sq foot health care clinic on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022.

A ceremony of traditional prayer by Elder Gordon Crutcher and welcoming songs were performed to kick off the event at the new location on Spring Ridge Drive.

Lona Ibanitoru, CEO of the health center, presented a history of the creation of the Susanville Rancheria that dates back to 1923. The facility will introduce new services to the area, including Dialysis and optometry.

The estimated 30 million dollar facility is expected to be completed in 3 to 4 years.
