Sierra County Sheriff’s Office responds to a possible kidnapping over the weekend. A call came into the Reno Police Department from a woman who said she feared for her life and was held against her will in a vehicle heading north on 395 towards the Stateline.

While the driver stopped at Hallelujah Conjuction to fuel up, she locked herself in the bathroom and awaited help.

Sierra County Deputies arrived to discover the couple was in a dating relationship. They argued during their drive, to which the driver, Johnathan Infante-Zuniga of Reno, Nevada admitted to the officers that he intended to kill both of them in a murder-suicide.

Zuniga was arrested and charged with transporting drugs across state lines, false imprisonment, and criminal threats.
