A COVID outbreak in Sierra County has forced the school dictrict to close all schools starting tomorrow through the 18th as well as postponing all homecoming activities and the game for Loyalton High School. Superintendant James Berardi announced the break to reset as numerous cases continue to pop up across the district.
Tomorrow students can go to their schools to pick up books, supplies, hotspots and Chromebooks between 8 and 10am, and 12 to 1pm. Loyalton High will also have pick up times Thursday and Friday from 5-6:30 PM.
No buses will be running.
Students can still get lunches if called in the night before and can be pick-up between 11:30 and noon.
Sierra County currently has 26 active cases.
