Seneca Hospital remains on target and is set to accept the first patients in the new hospital by Summer 2026.
CEO Shawn McKenzie said despite the bird debacle over summer, which halted operations until the protected Blue Heron had hatched its offspring, and a mild winter, the new hospital build is projected to be on time.
A video of the new construction can be viewed by visiting Seneca’s website.
The hospital is also boasting 4 primary physicians and a new COO, though McKenzie says his sights are set on bringing even more specialty services to the Lake Almanor Basin.
Seneca is allowing donors to be remembered as the new build continues strong. Through the Capital Campaign, you can contribute funds towards the progress of the build, and in return, you could name a room, the chapel, the surgical room, or even the helicopter landing pad.
