Be aware if you are flying out of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, thousands of flights were canceled yesterday, and more delays are expected today. The National Weather Service in Reno continues to predict that high winds may impact Tuesday morning flights. Reno-Tahoe International Airport Director of Communications Stacey Sunday said in addition to local inclement weather, the airport is “seeing severe weather around the country, and when that happens, that can impact flights in Reno.”

Plan to give yourself extra time and have patience. The airport is also under construction, bringing additional delays to your terminal. Airport officials also encourage you to check with your airline before coming to the airport in case of any delays or cancellations with your flight.
