Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is bracing for a record-breaking Thanksgiving travel season, with a 12% increase in scheduled seats and an estimated 15% rise in total passengers. Today is the last of the expected busiest travel days.
If headed to the airport airport officials say to arrive early, allow extra time for parking, and consider alternatives like rideshares to avoid limited parking availability. Overflow parking lots will be available but may add time to your trip.
To ease the experience, RNO is offering the “Wait & Win” giveaway for pick-up drivers. While waiting in the Free Waiting Lot, located four minutes from the terminal, participants can enter to win free flights by scanning a QR code and completing a survey. The giveaway runs through December 31, 2024.
