Be alert for scammers if you are a PSREC Member; another scam is out to get your money. The co-op says the scam involves a phone call to you by a con artist posing as a co-op employee seeking immediate payment for service. You are then threatened that your service will be disconnected unless you pay cash, buy a pre-paid debit card, or use an online payment service to pay your bill. PSREC reminds you to be suspicious of calls asking for payment information.
If you receive a call you think is not right, call PSREC directly at 530-832-4261 to verify the request for payment before you give out any personal information.
