The Bizz Johnson trail will be closed in a small section for hazard tree removal.
Starting Monday, Bureau of Land Management crews will close the 2-mile portion from Devil’s Corral trestle west to the Lassen National Forest Boundary.
Teams will be removing trees that were burned in the 2020 Hog Fire, which burned 9000 acres into the recreational trail on Hog Mountain.
The Bureau of Land Management has completed post-fire repairs over the last two years with projects restoring small bridges and culverts.
The temporary closure starting Monday is expected to be completed by November 26th.
