The Plumas Search and Rescue (SAR) team responded to a second call for assistance involving “yet another stuck vehicle near Dixie Valley Rd.”
Due to inaccurate GPS coordinates, locating the stranded vehicle proved challenging, but it was eventually found in the same area where others have recently become stuck.
The team emphasizes that on the county’s east end, all low-lying valleys have significant moisture on the roadways, creating deep and sticky mud from the recent heavy rain and snow storms. They urge adventurers to avoid becoming victims by steering clear of oversaturated roads.
