Plumas County looks towards using OHV grants to fund trail maintenance and enhance recreational opportunities across the national forest.

The county will hold an open house in partnership with Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship to discuss upcoming projects the OHV recreation grants program will fund. Representatives say the grant monies will be used not only for maintaining motorized trails on the national forest but also for Phase 1 of the Claremont Trail System.

The open house will take place January 11th from 4:30 to 6 pm at the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship’s Headquarters located at 211 Lawerence street in Quincy.
