Plan for Long Delays on SR 36 Starting Next Week

Starting next week you will need to plan on longer delays on SR 36. Caltrans says between Red Bluff and Susanville there will be several projects underway that can add up to over an hour of delays. The three projects include Good Fred Project outside of Westwood on 36 from A21 to the 44 junction. You will see 24/7 traffic control starting at 7 a.m. Monday morning through 7 p.m. the following Monday (June 20). Those delays are expected to be up to 30-minutes.

Additionaly west of the 89 junction there will be Tree and chipping operations for continued Dixie Fire recovery efforts. You should plan for 20-minute delays intermittently through next week during daytime hours and the final project is the Ponderosa Chip Seal between Paynes Creek and Mineral. Work starts on Monday. Delays here will be about 15 minutes, Monday-Friday during daytime hours. This project will span into the month of July.
