SHARE NOW

Water flows on the North Fork of the Feather River will be increased this weekend for whitewater recreation. PG&E is warning that the river will see class 3 to 5 rapids that are dangerous to inexperienced paddlers and you should not take a tube down this portion of the river. The near 8-mile stretch will span from the Rock Creek Dam down to the Rock Creek Powerhouse near Storrie. You can expect flows to begin to increase at 9 am on Saturday, July 23rd until Sunday around 2 pm, when flows will be gradually reduced back to normal seasonal flows. More recreational flows will be scheduled for August and September. You can learn more by visiting pge.com/hydrosafety.
