New Snowfall Causes Series of Outages Across Lassen

Eight hundred homes were without power early this morning due to the snow. Lassen Municipal Utility crews responded at 2:30 this morning in the Johnstonville area, with additional isolated outages occurring in the Gold Run, Honey Girl, and Becks Loop areas around 3 am.

As of 5:30, LMUD Crews continued to work on a few outages in the Standish, Litchfield, and Janesville areas. Returning power to all affected homes by 7:30 am.

The utility reminds you that if you are experiencing an outage, you need to call their 24-hr customer service line, 530-257-4174, and do not post to social media.

With snowfall continuing into the next two days, LMUD shares you may see “blinks” happen where a slight flicker will occur caused by the wind and snow.
