Nevada Solar Project – Fish Springs

Nevada has six large clean energy plants in the works. Two are close to California. Fish Springs Ranch and Dodge Flat in Wadsworth by Pyramid Lake.

The Solar Energy plant is underway at Fish Springs Ranch Solar Energy Center which is approximately 2,191 acres of private land. BLM has approved ranch utility lines and access roads for a 100-megawatt solar project located north of Reno, Nevada. It is being developed by NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. The Fish Springs Ranch Solar Energy Center will integrate 25 megawatts of battery energy storage for four hours. Anticipating about 250 workers to be traveling to the job site.  The completion date is the end of this year.

Dodge Flat Solar Energy Center (Wadsworth) 495 public land and 1500 private acres 200-megawatt solar project located east of Reno, Nevada. The Dodge Flat Energy Center will integrate 50 megawatts of battery energy storage for four hours.

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is the world’s largest operator of renewable energy from the wind and sun and one of the largest wholesale generators of electric power in the U.S., with more than 19,000 megawatts of net generating capacity, primarily in 32 states and Canada as of year-end 2017.
