District 1 Assemblymember Heather Hadwick, presented the May Distinguished Service Award to Morgan Nugent, Superintendent of the Fall River Unified School District. Morgan formerly served as the superintendent/principal at Lassen High School.
“After nearly three decades in public education, superintendent Nugent continues to invest in the future of our rural schools and students,” said Assemblymember Hadwick. “Whether it’s improving campuses for younger students or expanding career technical education opportunities, his passion for education is clear in everything he does. He also continues to be a strong advocate for rural schools at both the state and national level.”
