The Lassen Volcanic Park warns visitors that no food or gas is available in the Manzanita Lake area. The park service has closed the camper store for the winter season. You can still access the Manzanita Lake Campground and the park highway, as both will remain open until snow closure.
When visiting the Park also reminds you to be aware that as the season changes, bears are very active as they search for food before hibernating for the winter, and also to be prepared for seasonal changes in services and weather.
