As the spring season unfolds, the Lassen National Forest expands recreation opportunities. The rollout continues, and several campgrounds and day-use areas have opened their gates.
Among the newly accessible sites are Honn, Bridge, Rocky, Cave, Hat Creek, and Big Pine campgrounds. Additionally, you can now explore Bridge Day Use, Subway Cave, Hat Creek Rim Overlook, Old Station Day Use area, Splatter Cone Nature Trail, and the RV Dump Station near Old Station Visitor Center.
These site openings follow Monday’s campground opening announcement on The Almanor Ranger District including Butte Meadows, Cherry Hill, Elam, and Potato Patch Campgrounds.
The forest services website provides detailed information and resources on all current campground conditions.
