Work on the Monument Slide on hwy 299 will be paused over the Christmas and New Year holiday weekends.
Yet the hwy will be under one-way traffic control at the slide area starting tomorrow through Sunday.
Regular hours will resume on Monday, December 27 through Thursday, December 30. During this time, 299 will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a few openings for you to get through starting at 7 a.m., then again at 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., and 4:15 p.m. Arrive in line 15-30 minutes prior to an opening time.
And One-way traffic control will be in place at the slide area during the overnight hours, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
For New Year’s weekend, 299 will be under one-way traffic control at the slide area starting Friday, December 31 through Sunday, January 2.
