As the Miss Lassen pageant gets underway, a new royal court will grace Lassen County this evening. Held in the grandstands at the fairgrounds, 9 Senior girls will walk the stage showcasing a talent, answering an impromptu question, and presenting their poise and grace in an evening gown. The new Miss Lassen County will be chosen by two panels of judges who look at the contestants’ academic achievement, community service, personality interviews, and public speaking.
Last year’s Crowned Miss Lassen County, Olivia Ormachea, will help crown the new winner, who will receive a scholarship. Giving a nod to Taylor Swift’s concert series, the Eras Tour-themed pageant will kick off at 8 pm on the main stage.
This is the pageants 55th year running.
