LMUD Techs to Visit Neighborhoods and Your Home

You may see utility technicians roaming around your neighborhood or even in your yard. Field maintenance workers with Lassen Municipal Utilities will begin inspecting meters to make sure they are working properly. The AMI technician will be properly identified as they will be driving around in an LMUD truck and wearing LMUD logo uniforms. The utility has said you can help the techs by making your meter easily accessible and clear from debris, securing your pets away from the meter, and having a clear line of sight to the meter. Automated meters were part of a multiyear project installation that began in 2015 and was completed in 2019. Since then maintenance has been automated, yet LMUd says every so often they will have to make in-person inspections to assure quality.
