Lassen Municipal will review power costs in the utility’s next board meeting. This Tuesday, as part of a quarterly review, the board will discuss the kilowatt-per-hour charge determined by the Power Delivery and Cost Analysis worksheet. No rate change has been recommended. Ratepayers recently grudgingly underwent a series of increases due to rising purchase power costs, starting in December of last year—rates soaring from 14 to 19 cents.
A report from the general manager and other department heads will also be delivered at this week’s board meeting, including outage reports and updates on LMUD’s current projects, such as the NV energy connection and the Skedaddle Project.
The board meets at 5:30 Tuesday, May 23rd, at 65 S Roop Street in Susanville.
