Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) announced that General Manager Robby Hamlin will step down from his role, effective December 4, 2024. The announcement follows Hamlin’s decision, shared with the LMUD Board of Directors during a closed-session meeting on October 1.
According to Lassen MUD, Hamlin, who took on the position in January 2024, has led several initiatives, including rate stabilization efforts, improving financial metrics, and optimizing power procurement strategies.
Daren Hagata, LMUD Board President, said they “are saddened to see him go but wish him the best in the next phase of his career.”
Hamlin will be moving on to Valley Electric of Pahrump, NV as CEO of the Electric Co-op, who made the announcement early October. In the announcement, Hamlin says the move has been a “career goal” of his and that the move will bring him closer to family.
Reflecting on his time at LMUD, Hamlin expressed gratitude for the support from the staff and the community, adding he is “committed to ensuring a smooth transition” for his successor in the coming weeks.
The LMUD Board of Directors will begin the search for Hamlin’s replacement, with further details on the selection process to be announced soon.
