LMUD Director’s Meeting Tuesday

In this month’s Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) board meeting, the acting General Managers will give a comprehensive report addressing meetings attended, upcoming conferences, major ongoing projects, and critical resolutions.

Here’s a breakdown of the key highlights :
In addition to the GM updates, the Electric Operations Manager will provide a Report on outage information.

Resolution #2023-04:
A notable item on the agenda was Resolution #2023-04. This resolution seeks to designate an agent for non-state agencies to request federal and state financial disaster relief assistance. The board was called upon to adopt this resolution, which is crucial for disaster relief coordination.

Approval of Travel Expenses:
The meeting also covered the authorization of travel expenses for General Manager candidates and their spouses. These expenses may include business class flights, rental cars, hotels, and per diem allowances. This decision is pivotal in ensuring an effective recruitment process.

Custom Product Contract #23-SNR-02988:
An important contract was discussed involving the collaboration between the Western Area Power Administration and LMUD for Full Load Services. This will authorize the interim General Manager to execute a contract for energy procurement.

Proposal for 60kV Skedaddle Substation Transformers:
A proposal was presented to purchase two 60kV Skedaddle Substation Station Service Voltage Transformers (SSVT’s) for $87,814. The board was asked to authorize the Electric Operations Manager to accept this proposal, signaling progress in LMUD’s infrastructure enhancement.

Future Board Meeting Schedule:
The board meets on Tuesday at 5:30 at the LMUD office on South Roop Street in Susanville. A special board meeting furthering discussions on fill the role of GM is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., and a regular board meeting at 5:30 p.m. on the same day, both to be held at the LMUD Board Room.
