Leaf Drop Off Program in Full Swing

The City of Susanville and the Lassen County Air Pollution Control District are teaming up to help residents clear their yards safely this autumn with a free community leaf drop-off program.
The seasonal drop-off site will be located at Skyline and Numa, opening from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on designated Fridays and Saturdays throughout November and early December. The program kicks off this weekend, with scheduled operational dates listed as November 6th, 7th, 20th, and 21st, concluding on December 4th and 5th.
Organizers emphasize that the program strictly accepts unbagged leaves only. While residents are welcome to transport their yard waste to the site in bins or bags, they will be required to empty the contents themselves upon arrival, as no bagged leaves or mixed dumping are permitted. The drop-off area will be fully staffed during operating hours, and dumping outside of these designated times is strictly prohibited.
Residents with questions regarding the program or disposal guidelines can contact officials directly at (530) 257-1041.
