Lassen County sheriffs swiftly responded to reports of gunfire in South County. The incident occurred around 8 pm on Wednesday, prompting multiple calls about shots fired near Scott Rd. and Highway 70. Law enforcement authorities confirmed the involvement of multiple parties in the incident.
The situation continued to unfold throughout the early morning hours of Thursday. Ultimately, it escalated to a point where one individual attempted to use a vehicle as a weapon against another. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The man, identified as 57-year-old Lester Thrush, who allegedly attempted to strike the other individual with his vehicle, has been taken into custody. He has been subsequently booked into the county jail on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon. His bail has been set at $45,000.
