Lassen Volcanic Park Works to Clear Roads for Visitors

SHARE NOW

The Lassen Volcanic Park Road Crew is working hard to remove the snowpack from the Historic Winter Storm.

The crew has cleared ten miles of snow from the park’s road leaving 20 more miles needing snow clearance. The park advises now is a great opportunity for walking and biking on the cleared section without vehicles able to access it at this time. The Snowpack has covered the hiking trails making them not visible until the snow melts.

The Lassen Volcanic Park does encourage hikers to bring winter equipment to explore on foot. Do keep updated before planning your visit by checking the current road conditions and clearing of the road.
