Lassen Supervisors Meet Tuesday with Light Agenda

The board will open the meeting with proclamations in recognition of retirements and service to Lassen County.

David Woginrich from the Sheriff’s Department and Darcy Hansen from the Lassen County Cooperative Extension will be recognized for their retirement, and then the board will present awards to Alexander Meier for his 10 Years of service to the Sheriff’s Office, Emily Wilder for her 20 Years in Public Works, and Jennifer Cote for 30 Years at Health and Social Services.

The supervisors will also make a Proclamation for Probation Services Week 2024, designated by the US Government and the State of California for July 21-27, 2024.

Other notable items will include considering approving a proposed ordinance amendment to Health and Sanitation of the Lassen County Code, with no fiscal impact, and considering waiving the second reading and adopting the ordinance.

Approving a three-year contract with Wellpath for health care delivery and related administrative services for inmates and detainees, costing $1,996,468 annually, with yearly 4% increases. This will meet the Sheriff’s office’s state requirements to meet current inmate health standards, a heavily litigious subject with a fluid landscape. The contract would be in place through June 2027but subject to change as standards are adjusted, funding will come from the sheriff’s public safety fund.
