The Lassen National Forest is seeking funding support for its Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) program through grant applications submitted to the California State OHV Recreation Division (OHMVR). The forest intends to propose a law enforcement project that includes OHV area patrols and enforcement as part of the state’s 2023 grant cycle.
You can review and comment on the initial applications, which will be available on the State OHV Recreation Division website starting March 7. These comments will shape the final grant application package due to the Division by June 5.
More information about Lassen’s OHV program is on the forest services website. Public comments on the proposed project can be submitted in writing to the Patrol Captain at the Susanville forest service supervisor’s office on Riverside Drive or by email to patrol captain Casey Haddox by May 1.
