For a fourth time, Sheriff Dean Growdon has been sworn in as Lassen county’s sheriff. Presiding Superior Court Judge Mark Nareau had the honors in a small ceremony at the courthouse this Tuesday. Sheriff Growdon has served with the Sheriff’s Office for 29 years, serving as the elected Sheriff-Coroner for the past 12. Growdon thanked his family, the judge, the community, and fellow law enforcement for their support and trust as he takes on his 4th term as the county’s sheriff.
Additionally, across the region, in Modoc county, Sheriff Tex Dowdy was sworn in for his 2nd term, and at the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office, a new deputy was welcomed. Sheriff Mike Fisher swore in Deputy Chase Milhous in Downieville.
Congratulations to all, and thank you for your service.
