Lassen High Students Shine at 100 Years of U.S. History Exhibit Contest

Lassen High School  U.S. History students have been preparing for the “100 Years of U.S. History” Museum Exhibits over the last month. The following students won the contest and will show their exhibits at LCOE’s Fine Arts Festival February 25th and 26th:
1st Place and Student Choice Winner: Jack Dodge “The USS Arizona and Pearl Harbor” wins a $100 gift card.
2nd Place: Arwen Adams, Londyn Smith, Kortney McNutt and Isaac Jensen: “The Japanese Internment Camps” each wins a $50 gift card.
3rd Place: Dowan Stephens and Elias Brown “Martin Luther King, Jr. and Education” each wins a $25 gift card.
The LHS History Department would like to thank Lassen County Best of Broadway for donating the money for the gift cards and we would like to thank LCOE for the donation of the supplies for the projects. We would also like to thank the school board members, administrators, teachers, staff, and community members who volunteered their time to judge.
The other top 8 projects and groups will also be attending the Fine Arts Festival.
