The Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. (LFSC) is inviting qualified consultants to submit proposals for a Hazardous Fuels Assessment covering Lassen County. The project aims to evaluate wildfire fuel conditions in and around the county’s Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), with an anticipated project timeline from January 2025 to December 2025.
The assessment will involve mapping hazardous fuels, evaluating wildfire risks to nearby communities, and reviewing current and previous fuels reduction efforts. Consultants will also provide recommendations for future projects aimed at reducing wildfire hazards. The final deliverable will be a report detailing findings and suggested actions.
