Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. is soliciting bids from qualified Licensed Timber Operators to perform mechanical forest fuels reduction work and mechanical forest restoration work through biomass utilization on over 2,000 acres of public and private forest lands. The project area is the greater Susanville/ Janesville areas in Lassen and Plumas Counties.
Project implementation is expected throughout 2025. Project will involve work in burned and unburned stands including tree felling, skidding, decking, chipping, and hauling of material to biomass utilization facilities.
Sealed bids will be received in person at the Lassen Fire Safe Council office at 1825 Main Street Susanville, CA 96130, or by mail at PO Box 816 Susanville, CA 96130 or via email at [email protected]. Bids are due by Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 5:00 pm.
Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer according to the information found in the bid package. Bids will be accepted from contractors who demonstrate an ability to successfully complete the scope of work being bid and have valid required insurance and licensing in effect at the time of bid submission.
