Lassen Election Results- Updated

In the recently concluded March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election in Lassen County, voters cast their ballots in various contested supervisorial and city council races. Counting continues as ballots are received by mail.

In Supervisor District 1, Mike Scanlan holds onto the lead with 53% of the votes, defeating Chris Cole, who garnered nearly 46%. In Supervisor District 2, Gary Bridges secured a majority with 56%, prevailing over Thomas Herrera, who received 43.30%.

Meanwhile, the Susanville City Council election, with three open seats, resulted in Curtis Bortle, Patrick Parrish, and Dawn Miller emerging as the top choices, each with a quarter of the votes. Maria Fregulia, not far behind, held on to only 22%.

The election marked a higher voter turnout, with just over 6700 votes cast out of the nearly 15,000 registered voters. The Elections office estimates that just over 200 ballots remain to be counted as of yesterday.
