The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, held on June 15, 2023, in Susanville, witnessed a heartwarming display of community support. Susanville Ace Hardware pitched in with their generous contribution of $918.79 to aid the cause.
The charitable contribution was made possible through Susanville Ace Hardware’s “Round Up” program. Throughout the entire month of June 2023, the store’s customers participated by rounding up their purchases, resulting in the substantial donation that will directly benefit the Special Olympics.
The contribution not only demonstrates the power of community partnerships but also underscores the positive impact that local businesses can have on meaningful initiatives.
Special recognition was also extended by the Lassen County Sheriffs’ Office to Katie Ostrom and Brooke Gibboney from Special Olympics Northern California for their dedicated efforts in making the event a resounding success.
The community’s collective efforts, from the generous donation by Susanville Ace Hardware to the diligent work of organizers and supporters, continue to pave the path for the Special Olympics and the athletes they champion.
