The board approved Captain Mcgarva of the Lassen County Sheriff’s Department to move forward in a 3-year contract with Trinity Food Services Group to supply the jail inmates their meals, including Dietary food issues, Religious meals, and other special needs.

The Food Service will help in the jail as only one employee is currently in this role, and two more positions are needed to help aid the food service. This employee will still be guaranteed their position in the jail and work alongside the new Trinity Food Service group.

The program will also provide a state dietician that helps with the food orders and dietary restrictions.

The program will take place in July.
