Lassen County Chamber of Commerce hosts another successful Magical Country Christmas in Susanville.
Hundreds lined Main Street in uptown to usher in the holiday season. Local businesses, school organizations, and first responders joined in on the Parade of Lights, with a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus. With the countdown from 10, the Christmas tree poised in front of the Elks Lodge was lit, and dozens of fireworks brightened the night’s sky. The weather held nicely with a light drizzle throughout the evening, which did not hinder any of the spectators who reveled in the holiday spirit.
In Quincy, another special Sparkle event went off without a hitch, hundreds more gathered in the quaint backdrop of downtown. Lights adorned floats and vehicles as they made their way around the courthouse.
Westwood and Doyle shared similar holiday festivities to welcome the Christmas season, rounding out the region’s Kickoff to the holidays this first weekend of December.
