The CalTrans District 2 Public Information Officer responded to an inquiry about the scheduled completion of the rehabilitation work on Hwy 32 with the note below:
“The full closure schedule continues on SR 32 near the county line for emergency restoration efforts. Full closures are planned Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with openings at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. There also may be traffic control outside of these hours with up to 30-minute delays, but I believe most of the work is going on during the full closure times.
Speaking with our Resident Engineer, this schedule is planned currently through early-mid January. On days when weather is bad, they may not be doing the full closures.
Also, District 3 is supposed to re-start work on SR 32 on the Butte county side upcoming as well. I believe they are awaiting funding. It may be that they start doing work after we complete.
We appreciate your patience during emergency restoration efforts.”
