Winter makes a return this week. Temperatures will drop about 20 degrees by Tuesday, with strong winds making it feel much colder. The National Weather Service says there is a high likelihood of sub-freezing overnight lows tomorrow and Wednesday night. Be prepared for the cold, turn off irrigation, and cover exposed pipes. You may also want to protect any new plants you got into the ground with the nicer weather over the weekend. The return of winter will be brief; warmer temps are expected by this weekend.
