Frontier, a Verizon company, has scheduled telecommunications maintenance between September 9 and September 11, 2026, which may temporarily affect some Frontier landline customers in Plumas County. During this time, home phone service may be interrupted, but 9-1-1 service will remain available.
If you call 9-1-1 from a Frontier landline during the maintenance period, your call will be routed directly to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center. You may not hear a dial tone or ringing before the call is answered. Do not hang up. Dispatchers will still receive and answer your emergency call.
