You’ll need to watch out for hazard tree removal along the Bizz Johnson Trail. The Bureau of Land Management Crews will be working in the Devil’s Corral area about seven miles west of Susanville, taking out trees damaged in the Hog Fire 2 years ago. They will remove any burned trees that have the potential to fall onto the trail, taking them out of the area and scattering any remaining debris. You will see Crew members positioned along the trail where the falling will occur. You do not need to plan around any trail closures as Trees will be dropped parallel to the trail. The Devil’s Corral Trailhead is also open and will be available during the tree felling project. Crews will begin work today and are expected to finish by Wednesday.
