Feather River College Commemorates 53rd Graduating Class with Remarkable Achievements
With graduations wrapped up and seniors on their next chapter in life, Feather River College celebrated its 53rd graduating class this year, honoring a diverse group of 235 graduates. The ceremony awarded 18 bachelor’s degrees, 230 associate degrees, and 171 certificates, recognizing the hard work and dedication of the students.
The graduating class displayed a wide array of academic achievements. Notably, 105 students obtained one degree or certificate, 100 students were recognized for earning two, and 17 students excelled with three. Additionally, six students received four degrees or certificates, while five earned five each. Two individuals distinguished themselves by acquiring a total of seven degrees and certificates.
Feather River College has long been a destination for students from various parts of the United States, attracting talent from far and wide. In addition to the 178 graduates from different cities and towns across California, the college welcomed students from 14 other states. The highest number of out-of-state graduates came from Nevada, with an impressive representation of 24 individuals. Oregon and Washington were tied with four graduates each, while Utah had three representatives. Furthermore, the graduating class comprised one individual each from Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Arizona, Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Wisconsin, symbolizing the college’s appeal to students from diverse geographical backgrounds.
The international dimension of the graduating class was also celebrated, with Feather River College proudly recognizing seven graduates hailing from across the globe. These exceptional individuals represented countries such as Australia, Barbados, Canada, Ireland, Italy, and the United Kingdom, highlighting the college’s commitment to fostering a global community of learners.
The graduates’ accomplishments extended beyond academic achievements, as the class showcased a wide range of ages. The youngest graduate, at just 17 years old, exemplified the exceptional dedication and maturity of younger learners. Conversely, the oldest graduate, at a youthful 74 years, defied age stereotypes, demonstrating that education has no age limit.
