A fatal hit and run over Halloween weekend leaves law enforcement in search of a suspect and vehicle. In the evening hours of Saturday Quincy CHP responded to a person walking along hwy 395 just south of Hallelujah jct . While in route officers were informed that the person walking had been struck by a vehicle. At arrival a 25 year old man from Ridgecrest CA was found dead along the hwy. Officers learned that an SUV may have hit the young man and continued to drive south on 395 without stopping. CHP is requesting any help with the investigation if you were travelling in that area. The incident occurred Saturday around 5:40, SB on 395 just south of the hwy 70 jct. You can call Officer Preston at 530-283-1100.
