
Join SBTS on Thursday, May 15 – Sunday, May 18, 2024, for our fun-filled Epic Weekend in Quincy, where the food and beer are covered for our beloved SBTS volunteers. RSVP sooner than later as these “sell-out”!
The weekend festivities include: sleeping under the stars, riding the fine trails of Mount Hough, hiking, and a lot of digging in the dirt! You do not have to be a member to participate. Choose to dig Friday, Saturday, or both days! Loosely guided recreationa ctivities will be available on the day you are not digging.
Where to Meet
Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy. We have reserved the Lower Campgrounds off of Lee Road (behind the fairgrounds) through Gate 3. We will have the whole area reserved so look for an open spot and grab it.
Weekend Schedule:
The event officially kicks off Friday, but many will arrive Thursday to set up camp. On Friday & Saturday, plan on arriving between 7:00 and 8:30 am to get signed in for trailwork. You do not need to camp to come work, feel free to come just for the day!
Thursday (For those interested):
- 1pm – Fairground Camping Opens.
- Get your own dinner on the way in, or in town.
Friday & Saturday:
- 7:00 am – Hot water (so you can make your own coffee and breakfast)
- 8:30 am – Volunteer Sign In
- 9:00 am – Safety Talk
- 9:15 pm – Depart for Project Site (we provide a sandwich and drink for lunch when you dig)
- 10am- Adventures Depart (we will have multiple options, loosely organized with those who know the area, for folks that ARE NOT digging)
- 2:00 pm – Tools Down, Return to the meeting location
- 5:00 pm – Dinner
- 6:00 pm – Epic Games and Prizes

- 10am- Adventures Depart (we will have multiple options, loosely organized with those who know the area)

- Mt. Hough Maintenance of New Construction. More info to come!
Project #2 Moto Group
- This group will be doing system-wide trail maintenance on Mt. Hough, trail(s) TBD.
What is Provided
- Hot water (so you can make your own coffee and breakfast)
- Sack lunch on the day you do trailwork
- Dinner Friday & Saturday night
- Drinks (beer and non-alcoholic)
What to Bring
- Your camping gear
- Stuff for biking, hiking or swimming & trail work
- Water (there will be water there, but feel free to bring extra if you like)
- Sun protection
- Gloves, long pants, hiking shoes, and a day pack for trail work
Camping Info
- There are 40 RV spots with water and electric hookups, first come first serve. If they are taken when you arrive, we can find a self contained camping location for you.
