Rural hospitals and clinics are the cornerstones to any community. For over 54 years, Eastern Plumas Health Care (EPHC) has stood as a pillar of our community, providing critical care, creating jobs, and supporting the overall well-being of the population.

It takes a united front to thrive. From the vision of the CEO; to the support of the EPHC Board of Directors, Foundation members, Hospital Auxiliary volunteers, and dedicated staff. A commitment to delivering high quality care that is local, personal, and accessible is top priority.

Services are expanding with greater access to essential primary care and specialty care such as cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, registered dietician counseling, rehabilitation,
and telemedicine that connect
patients with care they otherwise would not receive.

As services expand, so do providers. EPHC has hired another dentist for the busy dental clinic and two more family practitioners, one for the Loyalton Medical Clinic and the other for Portola.

This past April, a fully staffed mobile MRI unit rolled onto site providing patients with high-quality diagnostic services, thus eliminating the need to travel outside the community for imaging services. An exciting extension to EPHC’s healthcare facility, the mobile MRI unit will help primary care providers continue to deliver excellent care. Preparing to launch Senior Life Solutions, EPHC will have an intensive outpatient program dedicated to supporting older adults facing mental health challenges. This program will serve as a vital resource for Eastern Plumas residents, providing professional care and guidance to help manage anxiety, depression, and other emotional concerns.

Led by a clinical therapist, a registered nurse, and a team of mental health professionals, Senior Life Solutions is designed to ensure patients receive appropriate treatment to enhance their emotional well-being. With a focus on compassionate, individualized care, the program aims to help participants achieve a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

Stay tuned for updates on the official launch date for Senior Life Solutions. For more information, contact Megan McCrorey, Director of Ancillary Services, at (530) 832 -6570 or
