Smoke will be visible to the West and North of Susanville starting today as the Bureau of Land Management begins pile burn operations.
Fire crews from the Eagle Lake Field Office will reduce hazardous fuels within the Hog Fire burn scar along the Bizz Johnson west of Susanville and near Horse Lake, north of Susanville.
Smoke could be visible from State Route 36 in the Hog Fire burn area and State Route 139.
