Lassen’s Public Words department has been successful in FEMA grant funding to make Dixie Fire repairs to County Road A-21.
At tomorrow’s board of supervisors meeting, Pubic Works will seek approval to go into an agreement with ECORP Consulting, Inc. to perform the environmental services for nearly 52,000 dollars.
County Road A21 sustained damage during the Dixie Fire, primarily due to fire suppression activities. The county then applied for FEMA funding to address the required repairs, which was successfully secured. Caltrans manages the funding and oversees the project.
As of now, the project is in the pre-construction phase, which involves obtaining necessary environmental clearances. This includes compliance with regulations set forth by federal and state agencies. The agreement with ECORP Consulting, Inc. aims to facilitate the completion of environmental permitting and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
This agreement’s significance lies in advancing the repair process for County Road A21, which is crucial for restoring infrastructure affected by the Dixie Fire. It ensures the safety and functionality of the impacted area.
The board meets at 9 am on Tuesday, April 9th. An agenda can be found on the county’s website.
