Disabled Person Placards Set to Expire in One Month

SHARE NOW

Seniors and those with disabled person parking placards have another month before placards expire if DMV does not receive your signature to renew.

A new law has changed the renewal process so longtime placard holders will no longer automatically receive new placards. No renewal charge or fee is required, and you will not have to provide a doctor’s note to renew. You will need to have your renewal ID number or placard number and renew on the DMV website, where you can e-sign your document. Mail-in notices will also be accepted.

If you do not meet the June 30th deadline, you will lose the ability to park in designated disabled person spots starting July 1st.
