Phone lines at county offices will be interrupted on Thursday as the County completes a system carrier change.
Tomorrow around 12 noon, when trying to contact Lassen’s offices, you may get an incomplete call alert from what Information Services Supervisor Jason Housel says can be anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
The transition has been in the works for several months as the county streamlines the outdated phone lines for efficiency.
Public safety departments and those with higher call volumes will have priority when returning to service.
Housel says there is no expected impact to 911 dispatch, animal control facility, or the Clerk/Recorder’s fax line.
