County Supervisors will look to meet eye to eye with the community this evening over permanent supportive housing following public outcry over a proposed location on North Mesa Street in Susanville.
This evening the community is invited to hold an open discussion to share concerns and learn more about the project’s status. Richard Egan, County Administrator, who appeared at City Hall earlier this month while the city held a similar discussion, said there has been no meaningful exchange between the county and Danco, the only developer currently interested in the project. As Egan says, a general consensus appears to be a need for affordable housing. Still, many say just not in my neighborhood, and this Egan has said lies the issue.
This evening will be your opportunity to learn more about the project and voice your thoughts. The meeting will be in Jensen Hall at the County Fairgrounds, starting at 5:30.
